Learning R Programming Via Udemy Course
So I got dabbling with R after listening to the Digital Analytics PowerHour podcast where Moe [one of the hosts] mentioned about being flexible enough to pull the data/doing analysis in any platform. Makes sense considering that a lot of time goes into data collection than analysis.
That got me more interested in checking out R programming and started learning it via this Udemy course:
I think the course material is good for beginners and picks up smoothly. R programming does seem to have a steep learning curve [especially for non-programmers]. However, I think the course provides a decent foundation to let students begin exploring the possibilities.
As I deal with web data, the perfect starting point would be Google Analytics. Will be following up with posts related to my tests with R programming. They won't be perfect, involves a lot of searching around, stumbling on examples and jotting it down in blog posts [that will hopefully help others as well].
Of course, the visualizations won't be spectacular but I'm hoping to improve my learning as I progress along and start putting more time into these posts. Will start with basic and then see how it goes.
